Advertising agency Hook, Charleston just put together a pretty slick ad campaign for the US Preventive Medicine Association. The ads are based on typography depicting dangerous animals with dangerous words, its pretty darn cool!
The font they used to do this I love, I’m not sure what the name of it is so if anyone knows definitely leave a reply so we can make a not of it. I also really like the tweaking they did to get the look of each of the animals this must of taken considerable time to get them all looking so good. It would be nice if they had a tutorial online to show the process from concept to completion.
Overall I really like the ads the only thing I would say is missing is a URL or a phone number so people can find out more about what exactly the “prevention plan” is. Oh by the way if you get a chance to check out the Hook, Charleston website definitely swing by its impressive.

Thanks so much for the kind words. It took hours to put together each ‘fear’, but we think the ads really stand out in the health care category.

I’d hate to be the copywriter on that one!
Peace.
Comment by casualtyofdesign March 10, 2009 @ 12:21 pmThese ads have never made it to press. That’s whey there is no URL and some of the words haven’t been spell checked. We presented them to the client, they loved them and then never did anything with them. We had one approved to go and the publication refused it. Said it didn’t reflect the values of it’s readers.
