This new ad is out from Advertising Agency: Whybin\TBWA, of Sydney, Australia. The ad points out the fact that at an old school factory that produces wine corks uses these chimney stacks that pollute the environment which most people know. The double whammy here is that the wine corks are produced from a tree that is cut down which normally cleans the “cO2″ and replenishes with Oxygen… OUCH!
I’m glad the ad is out and it makes some really valid points and informs the public of a very important issue but with regard to the actual design… “not so much”.
What really doesn’t work for me is the typeface they went with, I mean come on… seriously did we skip basic typography class or did the copywriter and designer spend the previous night out on the town drinking the very product we’re discussing?
Great ad, okay photo, descent photoshop but terrible typography .
Truly,
Mr. Echo
